Digital asset withdrawal address whitelisting can be configured on any customer account to prevent digital assets from being sent to unknown addresses. Once enabled, in the unlikely event that your Gemini account is compromised, an unauthorized user will not be able to withdraw your digital assets to a new address.
To enable digital asset whitelisting, please submit a request to Gemini Customer Support specifying the following:
- A list of any bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH), Zcash (ZEC), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and/or Gemini Dollar (GUSD) addresses you would like added to your withdrawal whitelist.
- If there are labels you would like to give to each address, please specify those labels in your request.
- If you would like to block all digital asset withdrawals please state that in your request.
Once your request is submitted, Gemini Support will reach out to you with next steps.
When whitelisting is enabled, withdrawals will be restricted to addresses only included in your whitelist. Additional addresses can be added or removed in the future by following the same process as above.
